Jermaine Dupri to be Inducted into Songwriters Hall of Fame
Jermaine Dupri will be Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
"The 2018 roster of Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees is a prodigious representation of creators of cross-genre hits, certain to resonate with everyone. Each year, the sltae of songwriters we induct is more diverse and illustrative of the history and contributions that we strive to acknowledge and honor," statement from Associated Press, Linda Moran (president/CEO) and organization's co-chairs, Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff.
Dupri has written some of the top songs from the 90s and early 2000s, managed several artist and birthed songs for industry icons like Mariah Carey, Usher and Janet Jackson.
Dupri ia the second hip-hop artist to be added to the Songwriters Hall of Fame next to Jay-Z. On June 14, Dupri will be honored for his contribution to the music industry, now that's NICE.
